25 sets of comments were received on Draft#2 of Darien’s 2026 Plan of Conservation & Development (POCD). These includes comments from the Planning & Zoning Commission’s (PZCs) referral of the draft to the Board of Selectmen and to the Western Connecticut Council of Governments (WestCOG).

Every comment has been uploaded to Darien’s OpenGov portal at this link. To facilitate PZC and public review, all of the comments have been compiled into a single document that can be downloaded by clicking here. If you submitted comments, but you do not see them listed in this document, please e-mail mycomments@darienpocd.com.

The public hearing for the 2026 POCD will take place at the next PZC meeting on Tuesday, October 6 (click here for the agenda on the Town’s website). During the public hearing, the PZC will review and discuss the comments, direct changes to the draft, and determine a date to vote to formally adopt the POCD. A final version of the POCD will be prepared and published at that time.
